Wanted: recipes for cookbook supporting breast cancer cause

TORONTO-The publisher of a cookbook raising funds for an organization that supports women with breast cancer, is looking for female chefs to contribute recipes.

This year will see the publication of the second A Gift From the Stars Cookbook. The 2008 edition is supporting Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada.

It will be launched at Willow's annual Eat to the Beat fundraising dinner, taking place Sept. 23 at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto.

Chef Dan Racine, the person behind A Gift to the Stars, says he is aiming to print recipes from 300 female chefs.

One part of the book will be a positive lifestyle guide containing healthful recipes.

There will also be notes about people who have died from breast cancer and an uplifting section on women who have survived the disease.

Profits from last year's cookbook went to The Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto.
