Matt Blondin moving on
TORONTO—Matt Blondin, the leader in the kitchen that has gained Acadia enthusiastic reviews from food writers, is leaving the restaurant.
His last day as executive chef at the dining spot serving Southern U.S. food will be May 31, according to a Twitter message.
Acadia was publicized as a joint venture of Blondin and Scott Selland when it opened last summer on Clinton Street north of College in Toronto, However, Blondin wasn’t a partner, reports the Toronto Star.
Blondin will not comment on a rumor that he will go to Momofuku when it opens in Toronto this summer, He told local media that he is going to spend time in New York City.
