Two P.F. Chang's opening in Canada this year
TORONTO—The first P.F. Chang’s China Bistro in Canada is scheduled to open in late July in the Shops at Don Mills centre in Toronto.
A second restaurant planned to open in the Smartcentre Shopping Centre next to the former Hippodrome in Montreal, in late 2012.
The Montreal-based company with the rights to the Asian restaurant concept in Canada, Interaction Asian Restaurants L.P. plans to open restaurants in other cities next year.
Working in partnership with the Montreal-based investment firm Claridge Inc., Interaction plans to open restaurants in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
The chain, which offers cuisine from five regions of China, has more than 200 restaurants in the United States and more than 18 in other countries.
As they do in the U.S., Canadian restaurants will average 7,000 square feet, with 220 seats inside and 70 on patios.
