Nov 14, 2008 - Taste of Nova Scotia Prestige Award winners
The 2008 Taste of Nova Scotia Prestige Awards were announced earlier this month.
Hosted by Michael Howell, chef and owner of Tempest restaurant in
Wolfville and executive chef of Port Gastropub in Port Williams, the
awards were handed out at a sold out gala dinner at Halifax’s Prince
George Hotel on November 6.

Nov 14, 2008 - Nova Scotia inspection results posted online
HALIFAX—Following in the footsteps of the provinces of Alberta and
Ontario, the Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia (RANS) has approved
the online posting of restaurant inspection results in an effort to
establish and promote greater transparency in the foodservice industry
and provide people with accurate and up-to-date information about
restaurant food safety standards.
